SUKKER

SUKKER delves into Norwegian colonial history.
A young, black man arrives in Norway at the end of the 17th century. Simultaneously, we meet a young artist who tries to navigate the challenges she faces in today's Norway. Throughout the performance, we follow this artist in encounters with both historical and fictional characters, across time. With parallel narratives, hard-hitting humor and overlapping time zones, we move through the history of the Afro-diaspora in Norway over 400 years.
